Description
Phase III construction engineering for bridge preservation along I-55 from south of I-80 to south of Weber Road.

- Construction inspection
- Quality assurance
- Bridge preservation oversight
- HBM, in collaboration with GSG, provides construction inspection services
- Bridge deck enhancements: latex concrete overlay; bridge joint replacement/repairs; bridge deck grooving for skid resistance
- Approach slab and pavement upgrades; bridge deck scarification; HMA shoulder reconstruction (per MOT plan); longitudinal joint removal and pavement patching; Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) Mix 'F' for approach slab overlay and butt joint; full-depth patching into asphalt and concrete bases
- Construction inspection duties: supervision of workers, materials inspection per IDOT specifications, reporting to the Resident Engineer, daily records with field measurements and visual inspections, routine site inspections, and contractor coordination
