Description
HBM Engineering served as a sub-consultant to TranSystems for the I-80 Larkin Avenue Interchange / I-80 Houbolt Road to West of Center Street Reconstruction and Interchange Enhancement Project.
HBM's Scope
Scope of Work
- Mainline (ML-3): Reconstruction of I-80 from Houbolt Road to west of Center Street, ~4.4 miles
- EB/WB I-80 over Houbolt Road (widening and rehabilitation)
- EB/WB I-80 over Joliet Junction Trail (replacement)
- EB/WB I-80 over Midland Avenue (widening and rehabilitation)
- Roadway reconstruction, drainage, culvert replacement, retaining walls, utilities, traffic control, signing, and pavement markings
- Interchange (INT-2): Larkin Avenue Interchange reconstruction at I-80, including Larkin Ave over I-80 bridge rehabilitation
- Noise wall and sign structure plans for both the mainline (ML-3) and interchange (INT-2) contracts
- ML-3 strategically designed to seamlessly integrate with the City of Joliet's Houbolt Road improvements
- Phase II engineering services including preparation of contract plans, special provisions, and estimates covering roadway/ramp reconstruction, drainage, culvert replacement, retaining wall construction, utility coordination, traffic control and protection, signing, and pavement markings
