Project Overview

Description

HBM led Phase II Engineering Services for the Northbound & Reversible I-90/94 Mainline Bridge Deck Overlay & Joint Repair and Roadway Pavement Patching Project. The initiative rehabilitated 63 total bridge structures across three corridors (23 Inbound, 21 Reversible, 19 Outbound) between Ohio Street and the I-90/I-94 split, with project efforts totalling approximately $150 million.

  • Plans, special provisions, and detailed construction estimates
  • Maintenance of Traffic implementation
  • Pavement patching coordination
  • Sign structure replacement
  • Project lifecycle management and Value Engineering Study incorporation
  • Phase III Engineering Support and RFI responses
  • Repairs to 36 bridges, overhead sign-structure replacements, LED lighting upgrades, new signage, structural painting, and REVLAC (Reversible Lane Access Control) system rehabilitation
  • Bridge counts by corridor: I-90/I-94 Inbound (SB) — 23 bridges; Reversible — 21 bridges; Outbound (NB) — 19 bridges
