- Replacement of the existing bridge on Illinois Route 171 (Archer Avenue) over Long Run Creek plus approach roadway reconstruction in Will and Cook Counties
- Existing bridge: two spans of 26 feet 10 1/2 inches, 58-foot back-to-back abutment length, 47-foot width, prestressed concrete box beams. New bridge: three-span, 246 feet 3 3/4 inches back-to-back abutment length, 83 feet 2 inches wide; cast-in-place concrete deck on precast prestressed concrete beams on steel H-pile integral abutments and piers
- Designed per the 2012 AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification (6th Edition), HL-93 lane loading; compliant with IDOT ABD Memorandum 12.3 and the IDOT Bridge and Hydraulics Manuals; Type 2 cofferdam for Pier 1, earth-retention system, and temporary sheet piles for staged construction
- Bridge Design; Roadway Reconstruction (2,144.55 feet, new profile approximately 6 feet higher than existing at certain locations, ADA-compliant sidewalk elevations); Drainage Design (storm sewers, ditches, compensatory storage)
- Traffic Control and Protection (temporary sheet pile walls, temporary pavement, detour for local 135th Street traffic); Traffic Signals (reconstruct one intersection, add a new one, interconnect three signalized intersections)
- Environmental Compliance (SWPPP, Section 404 Permit, IDNR documentation, wetlands/WOUS impacts); Cost Estimation; Construction Engineering
- Estimated cost of construction approximately $7.8 million
